Instant Pet Insurance

Almost all insurers exclude vet fees for illnesses that show clinical signs in the first 10-14 days of the policy. ‘Clinical sign(s)’ is defined as changes in your pet’s normal healthy state, its bodily functions or behaviour. Insurers will also exclude any conditions that relate to or are caused by the illness that showed clinical signs in the first 10-14 days of the policy.

The number of days vary from insurer to insurer, please check terms and conditions carefully before taking out a policy.

This differs if your pet is stolen, goes missing or is involved in an accident.  Then you will find that insurers will provide cover for this from the start of your policy.
