The police should be able to advise you on how to approach the situation, as well as helping you to open up other lines of inquiry that could lead to the safe recovery of your stolen animal without the need to commit to paying a reward.

How much you put up for reward is entirely up to you. Some pet owners have put up as little as £50 or £100, while others have gone to extremes of several thousand pounds - or even tens of thousands of pounds in circumstances where rare of prestigious pet breeds have gone missing.
