Per Condition Pet Insurance

If annual pet insurance policy appears too restrictive although it tends to be the cheapest then you may like to consider a per condition policy. It is very similar to annual pet insurance as in the insurer sets a maximum amount for each new condition you can claim for but they do not place a time limit. Therefore you can make as many claims as required as long as each one is for a new condition not claimed for in the past.

While your insurance premium may be cheaper than life long policies, the cover for that particular condition will cease when you reach the maximum amount set. It is therefore unsuitable for ongoing treatment of long-term illnesses.

If you are interested in purchasing a pet insurance policy which covers your pet for ongoing illnesses year on year then life long policies might be more suited although they tend to be the most expensive.
